Congressional Leaders Back Down on Amnesty
Updated May 22nd, 2008
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) was on Lou Dobbs Tonight on Monday with harsh words for the Democratic leadership in Congress and for Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Larry Craig (R-ID), who attached a de facto amnesty bill for 3 million illegal aliens to a bill meant to provide needed funding to our troops. The amnesty amendment was attached with no notice and no hearings. Yesterday, that “Ag-Jobs” amendment was removed from the bill. Sen. Sessions joined us again to discuss his success in striking the amnesty legislation and why lawmakers and ordinary Americans need to remain vigilant against this kind of deceitful practice. |
