Only months after Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates asked Congress for more H-1B work visas, Microsoft is slashing thousands of jobs. Some lawmakers are concerned that these foreign workers are now being used to replace American jobs. Updated January 15th, 2009
A $300 Billion federal program to prevent foreclosures has brought almost no relief to homeowners. It has been more than five months since the Help for Homeowners program was created by Congress to help over 400,000 troubled homeowners get new loans. But it is estimated that only a fraction of those people have received help from this program. |
